About Us
The Northside Hospital Department of Medical Education strives to support physicians by offering a variety of continuing medical education (CME) opportunities, including conferences, workshops and web-based programs. You will find a variety of CME opportunities offered at each of our campuses and via web conference.
Northside Hospital CME activities provides physicians and health care professionals with coordinated, balanced educational opportunities that will help to advance their professional learning, increase their competence in practice, and improve their practice performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I go to attend LIVE conferences face-to-face?
When there are opportunities for face-to-face conferences, they take place in a variety of spaces inside and outside of the hospital. We have listed the most frequently used rooms. Always refer to your registration confirmation for the most updated conference locations for the meeting.
- Northside Hospital Atlanta Campus – 980 Johnson Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30342
All of these rooms are located on the ground floor. Take the elevator to the ground floor. These rooms are just off the elevator.- Northside Hospital Auditorium
- Classroom B
- Doctors Centre Conference Room
- Northside Hospital Cherokee Campus – 450 Northside Hospital Cherokee Blvd, Canton, GA 30115
- Galleria Room – on the main entrance level. As you enter through the main entrance doors, turn right and the rooms are on your left, just past the gift shop windows (second set of doors).
- 3rd Floor Conference Room – enter through the hospital main entrance. Use the main elevators and go to the 3rd floor. Turn left out of the elevators and the first door on your right is the conference room.
- Northside Hospital Forsyth Campus – 1200 Northside Forsyth Drive, Cumming, GA 30041
- Bennett Classroom A and B – 1400 Building. Enter through the main level entrance. Bennett Classroom is in front of you to the left.
- Board Room – 1400 Building. Enter through the main level entrance and turn right. Go down the hallway to your immediate left. Board Room is in Administration at the end of the hallway on the right.
- Northside Hospital Alpharetta Campus – 3400 Old Milton Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30005
- Alpharetta Classroom/Education Center – Building C, 3rd Floor, Suite 310. Take elevator to 3rd floor. Left off elevator. Left down the hallway and classrooms are on the left.
- Northside Hospital Gwinnett Campus – 1000 Medical Center Boulevard, Lawrenceville, GA
- Graduate Medical Education Center – located on the ground floor of the hospital
What steps do I take to organize a CME activity?
All CME activities are reviewed and approved by the Northside Hospital CME Committee. To see if your proposed activity qualifies for CME credit, please complete the preliminary CME Planning Tool form. (Form can be found in the Planning a CME Activity section).
How do I get a CME Certificate for a course I attended?
To claim CME credit or print a certificate you must complete the online evaluation at the conclusion of each activity. Once you have completed the survey, you will be able to print a certificate directly from the survey.
*Physicians and APPs credentialed by Northside Hospital will have their credits entered into a database for tracking. Printing a certificate is optional.
I'd like to view a recording of a recent CME activity. Can I get a copy?
Recordings of recent CME activities are available at www.vimeo.com/northsidecme. To receive CME credit you must complete the online evaluation and/or post-test – link is located in the details box of the recording. Not all recordings are eligible for CME credit.
How do I request a CME Credit Report?
The Department of Medical Education maintains a database of CME for Northside Hospital staffphysicians only. To request a CME credit report, click here and please provide your full name and specialty in the body of the email. CME reports based on the past 2 years of courses will be provided. If you require a more comprehensive report, please let us know.
Are there ACLS/BLS Courses available?
The Department of Medical Education schedules ACLS/BLS recertification for physicians and APPs annually. A schedule is available here. There is no fee for Northside physicians and APPs on staff. A $55 fee applies to community physicians and APPs not on staff.
How do I find a Journal Article?
myNorthside Health Resource Center is a digital library of journals, research and point-of-care publications for medical staff. You can search by publication, keyword, author, subject matter or discipline. Click here to be directed to myNorthside Health Resource Center.

Accreditation Information
Northside Hospital is accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
